Dawn founded Gruene Insurance Group in 2018 with a clear mission: to help and inform others while delivering genuine, personalized service. With over 25 years of experience working with people on a personal level-including 15 years at Walmart-Dawn understands the value of trust and relationships. She holds a bachelor's degree in Human Resources and is committed to ongoing professional development through monthly training, webinars, and insurance conventions. What started as a one-person agency has now grown to a thriving team of 20 agents across the United States.
In 2021, Dawn's daughter-in-law, Mariana Levis, joined the agency and quickly became her business partner. Mariana brings a background in hospitality and professional experience with Disney, offering a service-first mindset and a compassionate, detail-oriented approach. Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, Mariana is passionate about helping others, building meaningful relationships, and making insurance feel personal and approachable.
As a bilingual, family-owned business, Dawn and Mariana are committed to being transparent, accessible, and community-centered. Their clients receive more than just insurance-they receive dedicated 1-on-1 support, help with claims and paperwork, and a team that truly treats their family's needs as their own.
Gruene Insurance Group proudly supports local causes, volunteering with Trulight127 Ministries, a foster and adoption agency, and the Comal County Senior Center. Dawn serves as Vice President on the board of Trulight127 Ministries and Secretary for Lonestar Parkinson's. The agency has been honored as one of the Best Insurance Agencies of New Braunfels three years in a row and is now expanding with a second office opening soon in Seguin, TX.
When they're not working, you'll likely find Dawn relaxing with her husband, John, and their beloved pets Blue, Bella, and Bubbles-or spending time in the garden and making memories with their grandsons, Adrian and Mateo. Mariana, along with her husband and son, enjoys reading, traveling, family time, and exploring new family-friendly spots in the area.
